Pediatric Eye Exams
While vision screenings are completed at the pediatric visits, they are not comprehensive eye exams. Children should have their first comprehensive eye exam before 12 months of age.
They should then have their eyes examined at age 3 and again at age 5. School-aged children should have an eye exam at least every other year if no vision correction is required. If vision correction is needed, eye exams are recommended yearly.
